Getting Started

Welcome to your quick start guide for setting up your website! Whether you’re building a new site from scratch or importing an existing site, follow these step-by-step instructions to get your website up and running smoothly.

Note: All templates come with WooCommerce and Divi Builder pre-installed.

1. Select a Template

• Pick a Starting Point: Explore the variety of templates available. These templates are tailored to different business needs and aesthetics. Take your time to browse the gallery to find one that aligns with your vision.

2. Choose a Domain

After initiating your website setup, you’ll need to define some key elements that identify your website:

• Site Name: This is the name that appears at the top of your browser window or tab. It’s often the same as your business name, so choose a name that reflects your business and is easily recognizable.
• Business Tagline: A tagline is a short phrase or sentence that summarizes your business’s mission or the services you offer. This helps visitors quickly understand what your business does.
• Domain:
  • A default domain will be provided, hosted at websitepro.hosting.
  • Optionally, customize your domain for a more professional appearance. A custom domain is also easier for customers to remember. To set up a custom domain, you can either register it through a domain registrar or check if it can be managed directly through your website platform.

3. Launch Your Site

• Finalize Setup: Once the setup is complete, you’ll be directed to the admin dashboard, where you can start managing your website.

Import an Existing Site

To import a website, you’ll first need to create a placeholder website. Once the site is created, follow these steps:

1. Upgrade Before Importing:

   • Update the WordPress core, all plugins, and themes on your existing site. Older plugin versions may be incompatible with PHP 7, which can prevent your site from functioning properly in the new environment.

2. Install the All-in-One WP Migration Plugin:

   • Install and activate this plugin on both your new and existing websites. This plugin will handle the export and import process for your entire WordPress site, including the database, media, plugins, and themes.

3. Export Your Old Site:

   • Navigate to All-in-One WP Migration > Export > Export To > File.
   • Save the exported file, which includes all the components of your WordPress site.

4. Import to Your New Site:

   • Go to All-in-One WP Migration > Import > Import From > File.
   • Select the file you exported from the old site, and the plugin will import your website data into the new environment.
