Use this guide to quickly get oriented with the Vendasta platform; each platform environment, when to use what, role-based access, and trial limitations.
Platform overview
The Vendasta platform is a customer acquisition and engagement platform built for SMBs and the partners who support them. Rather than juggling multiple disconnected systems, you get a complete solution that combines marketing automation, CRM, customer acquisition tools, and AI-powered assistants in one integrated platform.
Key platform capabilities
AI-Powered Assistance: AI employees proactively suggest optimizations, predict customer behaviors, and take action. They can recommend campaigns based on trends or automatically adjust strategies when results need improvement.
Data-Driven Insights: The platform leverages your business's unique data—purchase history, customer behavior, market trends—to power AI recommendations and create tailored customer experiences.
Smart Automations: Automate routine tasks like follow-up emails, appointment management, campaign optimization, and social media publishing to free up time for strategic growth.
Integrated Workflow Management: Handle digital marketing campaigns, sales processes, billing workflows, and customer journey management all within the same platform with shared dashboards and seamless data flow.
Platform environments
There are three main platform environments:
- Partner Center: For administrators and salespeople to manage your business
- Business App: For customers to access products and services
- Task Manager: For fulfillment teams to manage projects and tasks
Together, they empower you to provide products and services to local businesses.

Partner Center is for your business
- Customize your branding and settings

Admins can access Partner Center via partners.vendasta.com. Partner Center isn't white‑labeled, and the URL isn't customizable.
Business App is for your customers
In Business App, your prospects and customers can:
- Receive updates about key business metrics
- Access the products they've purchased
- Browse products and services in your online store
- View proof‑of‑performance reports
Your customers access Business App from a URL unique to your agency (found under Accounts > Manage Users in Partner Center). The Growth and Scale plans include the ability to customize this domain.
Task Manager is for managing projects and fulfillment
Your team can:
- Update listings, respond to reviews and mentions
- Engage with leads and manage pipeline
- Onboard new customers and complete custom tasks

Levels of access
Vendasta's platform has four levels of access, each with its own login.
Administrators
Administrators are top‑level users designed to manage all aspects of their Vendasta experience. They have access to the powerful Partner Center dashboard, enabling them to efficiently manage their clients.
Salespeople
Salespeople have mid‑level access to the platform. They are the primary representatives your clients will communicate with.
Users
Users have low‑level access. They are given access to Business App to view activity, reports, and purchased products.
Digital Agents
Digital Agents have access to Task Manager to work on fulfillment tasks and projects.
Platform guidance
Understanding when and how to use each environment helps you navigate the platform efficiently.
Partner Center: Your Business Administration Center
Use Partner Center for:
- Agency Management: CRM, Email Marketing, AI Chat Receptionist, AI Voice Receptionist, Automations, Customer Billing
- Client Account Management: Adding and managing your client accounts
- Sales Operations: Building proposals, managing sales pipelines, tracking opportunities
- Team Management: Setting up salespeople, configuring permissions and roles
- Platform Configuration: Branding, email settings, custom domains
- Store Management: Building packages, setting up your marketplace offerings
Business App: Customer experience & self-service
Business App serves two important purposes:
For Your Local Business Clients
Business App is where your clients access their purchased products and services:
- View their business metrics and reports
- Access purchased products (LocalSEO, Reputation AI, Social Marketing, etc.)
- Browse and purchase additional services from your Store
- Receive updates and proof-of-performance reports
For Your Own Agency
You can also use Business App when you want to utilize Marketplace Products and Services for your own agency:
- Access LocalSEO tools for your own business listings
- Use Reputation AI for your agency's online presence
- Leverage Social Marketing tools for your own social media
- Utilize any other marketplace products you've purchased for self-use
Key distinction
- Partner Center = Managing your partner business operations, customizing your platform branding and automations, and managing client relationships
- Business App = Accessing products and services (both for your clients and for your own business)
Understanding this distinction helps you navigate the platform efficiently and guide your clients to the right environment for their needs.

What features are limited while on Trial?

What happens when a trial ends?
- The trial can be canceled at any time prior to the expiry date set by your Vendasta representative.
- If a contract is signed while on a trial, the trial is canceled first before the contract is processed.
- If the trial expires without a signed contract, access reverts to the standard Free tier.

What happens when my trial expires?
If your trial expires and you have not signed a contract, your access will revert to the standard Free tier. If a contract is signed while on a trial, the trial is canceled first before the contract is processed. Contact your assigned Client Success team in the bottom left corner of Partner Center for questions about your trial.
