There are three primary methods for resetting and re-sending a user's Business App password:
Manually Reset and Resend a User's Password
The following method allows you to reset a user's password without automatically sending the new password to them. This is useful in situations where you have a separate means of correspondence with that user such as a separate email thread or phone discussion.
- From Partner Center > Businesses > Users, find the user that you wish to reset the password for.
- Click
> Edit User.
- Enter the new password in both the Password and Confirm Password boxes.
- Click Save.
Once the new password has been saved, you can communicate the password to the user. Please be aware that passwords are case-sensitive.
Resend the Welcome Email and Password Reset Link
This method allows you to send the Business App Welcome Email to a user. In this Welcome Email, the user will have the option to reset their password.
- From Partner Center > Businesses > Users, find the user that you wish to reset the password for.
- Click
> Resend Welcome Email.
- Click Send.
The user will receive an email that appears as follows:
Once the user clicks on Sign into Business App, they will be prompted to enter a new password:
Afterward, the user will be brought to the Business App login screen.
Reset Password from the Business App Login Screen
Any user that does not remember their password can reset it by using the Forgot Password? option on the Business App login screen:
- Access the Business App login screen.
- If you do not know your Business App URL, you will find it in Partner Center > Businesses > Users at the top of the screen.
- The user will need to enter the email address that their user is associated with and click Recover Password.
- An email will be sent to the user. There, they will need to click Reset Password.
- The user will be brought to a Reset Password screen. They will need to enter their new password in both boxes and click Submit.
- The user will then be brought to the Business App login screen.
