What is it?
Partner Center admins can now access Business Center directly from the Accounts page in Partner Center. This allows admins to access Business Center without having to assign and impersonate a user on an account.
When was it made available?
This was made available to all partners on Tuesday, June 11th, 2019.
Why is it important?
Previously, to access Business Center, admins had to impersonate a user on an account. This made it difficult to easily navigate between all accounts an admin had access to, and the option was buried behind various submenus.
In the future, this functionality will allow us to extend direct access to Business Center to Salespeople and Task Manager users, as well as allow them to access brands and Multi-location Business Center without needing to create or associate users to accounts.
How does it work?
From Partner Center > Businesses > Accounts > Account Name, select Open Business Center.
This will open Business Center for the account you selected. In Business Center, admins will be able to navigate it just as a user would, but there are some key differences:
- Admins will not be restricted to the tabs and products any particular user is restricted to. Should the admin wish to see Business Center in the same way as a specific user, we recommend using the impersonate option.
- This is done from Partner Center > Businesses > Users.
- Admins can access any account they have access to in Partner Center using the location switcher in the top-left of Business Center.
