On May 7th 2019, all salespeople will have the ability to edit the competitors displayed in the SEO and Advertising sections of the Snapshot Report. This is now available to partners on Early Access.
Why is this important?
Previously, Snapshot Report would automatically detect and surface different competitors to compare the business against campaign performance, organic keyword performance, and organic keyword ranking. On occasion, the chosen competitors weren’t always businesses that directly compete with the prospect on the Snapshot Report, which could be confusing to the prospect.
With this update, salespeople will have the ability to change the competitors pulled into Snapshot Report prior to sharing it with a prospect. This can also be edited and updated at any time while the report is active.
How does it work?
From Sales & Success Center, click on any Snapshot Report that’s been generated within the past 7 days. Note: you can only edit the competitors that appear in the SEO and Advertising sections from this page. Adding competitors on the Account Creation form will not change the competitors in the SEO or Advertising section of the report.
At the top of Snapshot Report, click on the Competitors drop-down menu.
From here, you can add up to 4 competitor names and websites. Once done, click Update Competitors.
After a few minutes, refresh Snapshot Report and scroll down to the different sections. You’ll see the competitors display:
- In the Advertising section, under the Campaign Performance subsection.
- In the SEO section, under the Organic Keyword Performance and Organic Keyword Ranking sections.
