What is it?
Users can now upload and select GIFs when creating posts in Social Marketing.
GIF Support in Social Marketing was released to all partners on May 22nd, 2019.
Why is it Important?
GIFs add a level of personality and levity to social posts. They are generally more engaging than still images, and they are more likely to resonate with audiences.
How does it Work?
From the composer in Social Marketing, you can do either of the following:
- If you have downloaded a GIF to your computer, upload it as you would any other image.
- If you are looking for a GIF, click the Media section, then choose GIFs. You can select one of the top options populated, or you can type a specific term or phrase into the Search Tenor bar to find a GIF. Once you have found a GIF, click on it to add it to your post.
At this time, GIFs cannot be posted to Linkedin, Google My Business, and Instagram. They will appear as a single frame image.
