On March 28th, Task Manager users will have the ability to automatically ask for approval of social posting calendars from clients via email through the use of social calendar projects.
Why is it important?
Prior to these recent updates, marketing agents using Task Manager would need to spend many hours drafting social media content in advance, then summarizing that content in an email to have it approved by their clients. Teams were using spreadsheets and group emails to manage and communicate content, which is time-consuming and tedious. A recent update to Social Marketing now allows agents to easily draft their content in a calendar view. We’ve also recently updated Task Manager to support Social Calendar projects, a streamlined way to manage multiple social posts for a client via the Social Marketing calendar.
With our latest update, we’ve closed the communication loop between a client and agent. From the Social Calendar project in Task Manager, an agent can email their client a link to a landing page containing all of their upcoming drafted posts. The client can then choose to approve the posts, or leave a note for the agent to make changes. This is then surfaced back to the agent in Task Manager.
Not only does this save time for the agent by eliminating the need to copy & paste content into an email, but it also improves the experience for the client.
How does it work?
Start by logging in to Task Manager and creating a Social Calendar project. In the “add project” screen, check Schedule Social Posts. Then check Client Review. Checking this box will prompt for a project task to send an approval request for a social content calendar.
Next, follow the project tasks as you would normally: complete the content call, and schedule out your client’s social calendar. Once you’re ready to send the calendar off for client approval, click on the Client Review task.
From there, you’ll have the ability to Send For Review. This will automatically send an email to all assigned Business Center users on the account from the address indicated in the Correspondence section of Task Manager’s Global Settings.
After your client(s) receive the email notification that their Social Calendar is ready to be reviewed, they can then click through to a personalized social post page where they see all posts your team has scheduled for that calendar.
The client can then either select that it “looks good”, or they can request changes.
Once done, the Client Review task in Task Manager will be set to Open and a record of the action the client took (either the changes they requested or ‘looks good) is shown in the task history.
