What is it?
Facebook Insights are now available in Social Marketing. These are located under a new tab under Insights (previously Analytics) and provide clarity into how your clients' posts are performing.
Why is it important?
When gauging the success of your clients' social media efforts, it's important to see detailed information on how their posts are performing. In cases where they are paying for advertising especially, it's important to know just how many people are seeing their posts, which ones receive the most engagement, and which ones are under-performing.
With this insight, your clients can make better judgement on what to compose for future posts.
How does it work?
Users will first need to connect their Facebook accounts in Social Marketing > Settings > Connect Accounts. Afterward, they will be able to access Facebook Insights by navigating to Insights > Facebook Insights.
*Please note that Social Marketing will only populate stats for posts made after the account is connected. Should users disconnect their accounts, any stats that have been populated will be lost.
The Post Performance table showcases how a business's social media efforts fare over time. These correspond to the time-frame selected above the table, and you'll see the chart show you one of three things, depending on the tab you're on:
- Reach - How many users have seen your clients' posts.
- Engagement - How many users have interacted with your clients' posts. This includes reactions, comments, shares, and link clicks.
- Posts - A breakdown of the posts that have gone out.
This table is useful in spotting trends. It allows you and your clients to see when posts perform the best, allowing for carefully tailored content.
Below the above chart, you'll see a table that helps you track your content. This allows you to see how your individual posts are fairing.
