ETA: Tuesday, June 26 (updated).
On April 11, 2018, Vendasta introduced the New Executive Report in Business Center, which gives local business owners the power to see everything important that happened across all their digital marketing channels in the last week or month. It’s the same great report you know and love, but enhanced, redesigned, and relocated.
Starting June 26th, an automated email notification will alert your clients when their latest report becomes available, keeping them informed week after week, month after month.
Important: This email will replace the email notification for the Reputation Management Executive Report, and will direct your clients to the Executive Report tab in Business Center. As part of this update, all email recipients within Reputation Management have become users in Business Center—with strategically limited permissions—so that they can log in and access their New Executive Report.
This article will explain everything you need to know to prepare for the upcoming changes and provide you with an announcement email that you can send to your clients.
Introducing the New Executive Report email notification
Starting June 26th, your clients will receive an automated email notification every week or month—depending on their email preferences in Business Center (which respects their email preferences from Reputation Management).
This compelling email will provide insight into the online activity that's recently impacted the business, and link to the Executive Report in Business Center for more information.
The activity is grouped into two unique categories, making it easier for your clients to skim the email for the information they want to see:
- The positive activity is called, “Highlights.”
- The negative activity is called, “Opportunities for Improvement.”
The activity within each section is prioritized according to the potential impact on the business and the urgency that the activity is followed up on.
Example #1: Jenny’s Cafe got a harsh 1-star review on a busy Saturday afternoon. When Jenny receives her Executive Report on Monday, her attention is drawn to the “1 new negative review” at the very top of the “Opportunities for Improvement” section and knows she should take action.
Example #2: Mountain Media just claimed and fixed two listings for Sherwood Automotive. When Sherwood Automotive receives their Executive Report on Monday, they’ll see “2 newly accurate listings” up front and center in the “Highlights” section, and they’ll know their investment in Mountain Media is paying off.
The possible activities shown are as follows:
- X new positive reviews
- X% growth in your advertising ROI
- X newly accurate listings
- X more Twitter followers
- X more Facebook Page likes
- X searches included your Google listing
- X actions on your Google listing
- X% increase in your advertising conversions
- X% increase in your advertising clicks
- X Tweets
- X Facebook posts
- X requests for reviews
- X new citations
- Opportunities for Improvement
- X new negative reviews
- X new neutral reviews
- X% decrease in your advertising ROI
- X listings went missing
- X listings became inaccurate
- X fewer Twitter followers
- X fewer Facebook Page likes
- 0 searches included your Google listing
- 0 actions on your Google listing
- X% decrease in your advertising conversions
- X% decrease in your advertising clicks
- 0 Tweets
- 0 Facebook posts
- 0 requests for reviews
- 0 new citations
Each section displays a maximum of five updates so that your clients can easily focus on the top priorities. If there isn’t an update for the highest priority item (e.g., there were 0 new positive reviews), then the email will show the update that’s next in priority (e.g., 47% growth in your advertising ROI). And if there was zero activity in a given section, then that section will disappear altogether.
How to add email recipients for the New Executive Report
To start sending the New Executive Report to a client, you may either create a user via Partner Center, or your clients may create a recipient via Business Center.
- To create a user via Partner Center, go to Partner Center > Businesses > Users, and then click Create User.
- To create a recipient via Business Center, go to Business Center > Settings > Manage Recipients, and then click Add Recipient. Note: If a client user does not already have access to the Executive Report tab, they won't be able to create recipients for the Executive Report in Business Center.
Migrating email recipients from Reputation Management to Business Center
In the Reports tab of Reputation Management, your clients may have added a preferred email address and up to five additional email addresses.
On May 30th, all six email recipients became limited-permission users for Business Center. i.e., If those recipients didn’t already have a user for Business Center, they would have gained access solely to the Executive Report and Settings tabs in Business Center, but they did not receive a Business Center welcome email.
Important: If your clients don’t already have access to Business Center, they will need to set their password before being able to access the Executive Report within Business Center.
Discontinuing emails for the Reputation Management Executive Report
Starting June 26th, your clients will no longer receive an automated email notification for the Reputation Management Executive Report. However, your clients will still be able to access their Reputation Management Executive Report in the Reports tab of Reputation Management.
Excludes SSO partners
This update does not apply to SSO partners. Reputation Management email recipients will continue to receive the Reputation Management Executive Report via the old email. Those recipients will not receive the new email or gain access to Business Center.
How to temporarily opt out from sending the New Executive Report email
If you’d like to opt out of sending the new email and continue sending your clients the Reputation Management Executive Report email, you may do so via Partner Center > Administration > Customize > Email Settings one week before launch.
