The map of Google My Business Insights shows multi-location businesses how people are interacting with their Google Search and Maps listings.
With the new Maps tab in Brand Analytics, your multi-location clients can compare their locations based on the following insights:
- Default: Direct Searches (searches for the business itself)
- Discovery Searches (searches for a relevant business category)
- Map Views
- Search Views
- Website Visits
- Phone Calls
- Driving Directions
The map provides totals from the past month as well as changes since the previous month. Furthermore, the color of a pin represents the percentile range that a location falls under. This allows your clients to see how a particular location is doing relative to the rest of the brand's locations.
How to enable/disable the Insights map for a brand
To enable/disable the Google My Business Insights map for a specific brand report:
- Go to Partner Center > Businesses > Brands.
- Select a brand.
- Go to the Visible Tabs tab.
- Toggle the Maps Tab setting.
How to connect Google My Business locations
To connect Google Insights in Listing Builder, go to Listing Builder > Google Insights, and click Connect Account. If a location doesn’t have a Google My Business account, they can click How to create a Google My Business account to sign up.
Note: The brand report will not display data for Google My Business locations that are unverified. To verify a location, follow the instructions provided by Google.
