Create a Sales Order in Partner Center

There are two order workflows available to help you deliver the best customer experience for your clientele, Sales Orders, or Orders. This article will explain how to create Sales Orders in Partner Center.

Why is sales order creation important?

Creating a sales order provides your customers with a seamless purchasing experience where they can review the products and services they're buying, confirm the purchase, and pay all at once. This method automates billing and product activation for you, and protects cashflow because Vendasta does not activate and bill for you those products until your customer has paid.

Create a Sales Order

  1. Go to Partner Center > Commerce > Orders, click Create Sales Order, and choose an Account.
    • OR Partner Center > Accounts > Manage Accounts > Choose an Account > Actions > Create sales order.
  2. Choose account.
  3. Add products, choosing the desired Edition where applicable.
  4. Add add-ons if applicable.
  5. Set contract duration, add attachments or notes if desired.
  6. Click Continue.
  7. Review the order. The Order Summary shows retail pricing.
  8. Enter activation information where applicable. These details are required to process the order.
  9. Click Save and continue.
  10. Click Submit to get approval from a Partner Center Admin or Send for Customer Approval. If you've connected Vendasta Payments, your customers can submit payment

Editions & Add-Ons

When creating an order, some products will have several editions to choose from. Select the edition best suited for each client's goals and budget.

Add-ons are also available to help you provide exactly the right solution for each of your clients. Add these after selecting the main products to avoid required product notifications. If ordering an add-on for a main product already activated on a client's account, the system will recognize this and refrain from displaying a notification.

Next Steps

Once your customer has approved the order, it's time to invoice, collect payment, activate, and fulfill. Refer to the articles below for details on these next steps.
