Social - Why should I authenticate social media accounts?

Properly authenticated social accounts will update daily in Reputation Management, and will have data displayed under the Social Activity and the Social Statistics sub-tabs.

Unauthenticated accounts that show up under the Listings tab will gather information, but these accounts will only get data once a week. Furthermore, in order to pull in Facebook Reviews that only have a star rating and no content, Facebook must be connected.

If you have already authenticated the social accounts in Social Marketing, then Reputation Management will use the same authentication to pull in this information. If you need to authenticate your accounts in Reputation, click on Set Up Social Accounts. From there, you connect the accounts the same way you would in Social Marketing, which you can learn about in this article.
