The listing site will always call the phone number that is listed on the listing. If you've listed a number that goes to a automated system, you may try the following workarounds:
- Some sites will occasionally offer a field for you to enter in a different phone number for them to call and verify.
- Try selecting the ‘mail confirmation pin number’ option that is available on select sites.
- Use a number that isn't connected to the automatic answering service.
- If you are creating a new listing, use a number not connected to the automated service, verify the listing by phone, then switch the number. However, some sites will force you to re-verify the listing when the phone number is changed.
