How do I track a sales opportunity?

Your salespeople can create, update, and close opportunities via the Account Details screen or the Pipeline tab in Sales & Success Center. For each opportunity, your salespeople can track packages, probability of a close, expected close date, potential revenue, and more.

Because your salespeople have the ability select packages and enter potential revenue for each opportunity, we’ve replaced Sales Records with Sales Activities. This new feature allows your salespeople to efficiently log calls, emails, and meetings. They can track these activities via the Accounts tab, the Account Details screen, or the Opportunity Details screen.

As well, your sales team can now manage their sales pipeline via Sales & Success Center. By using the sales pipeline, your sales managers will get valuable insight into their sales forecasts.

How to create a sales opportunity

To create a sales opportunity:

  1. Go to Sales & Success Center > Accounts.
  2. Select an account.
  3. Beside Opportunities, click the ‘+’ button.

  1. Complete the creation form. 
    1. Select the packages from your Store that your prospect is interested in.
    2. Enter the estimated probability that you’ll close the deal.
    3. Select the date you expect to close the deal.
    4. Click Create.

Once created, the opportunity will appear in the Sales Pipeline tab. It will also appear in the Account Details screen under the Opportunities section and the Sales Activity section (highlighted with a green border).

How to update a sales opportunity

To update a sales opportunity:

  1. Go to Sales & Success Center > Pipeline.
  2. Select an opportunity.
  3. You can then make the following changes:
    1. Reassign the opportunity to another salesperson.
    2. Adjust the probability of a close.
    3. Adjust the expected close date.
    4. Log sales activity: enter notes about the activity, select the type of activity, specify if a follow-up is needed, and indicate if the salesperson was able to connect.
    5. Enter notes about the opportunity.
    6. Add, edit, or remove packages. The revenue associated with these packages will automatically calculate the potential revenue of the opportunity.

How to close a sales opportunity

To close a sales opportunity:

  1. Go to Sales & Success Center > Pipeline.
  2. Select an opportunity.
  3. Click Close Opportunity

  1. Select a close state and then enter notes about the close.
  2. Click Submit.
